Patient extricated, airlifted at Caryville on Thursday

Thursday afternoon wreck sends one person to the hospital

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- A wreck at the Exit 134 overpass of I-75 sent one person to the hospital by a med chopper late Thursday afternoon.

“A woman was extricated from a Kia SUV that landed on the driver’s side in the drainage area between the east and west lanes,” said Caryville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Eddie Hatmaker.

It was around 4pm when firefighters with the CVFD, with help from Jacksboro Firefighters, extricated the patient.

Caryville Police are investigating with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office. Cambell EMS also responded. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/25/2024-7PM)
