Stronger storms will produce heavy rainfall prompting ponding of water on roads and flooding

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Moisture content is at its height as Tuesday morning opens with a big moisture indicator, fog.  We’ll see more clouds than sun today with a muggy high of 82.  Expect rounds of showers and thunderstorms especially this afternoon and evening when there is the potential for stronger storms to produce heavy rainfall that may cause localized flooding and certainly ponding of water on roads.

Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.

A moist and unstable air mass remains in place for the rest of the work week, keeping a good chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast today and into tonight with this pattern continuing all week. Temperatures are expected to remain around to a little below normal.

Wednesday’s weather brings a repeat of Tuesday’s weather.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/23/2024-6AM)
