JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- This jaw dropping hunk is a Catahoula Leopard mix who is approximately one year of age and weighs 57 pounds. Onyx is a shockingly attractive, double take for on-lookers and when he is out for a walk, hike, jog or at the dog park everyone is going to want to talk to you.

Onyx is very smart and this breed craves challenges and wants to learn. He walks well on a leash but is eager to learn some walking tips on how to heel, back up, shake, stay, etc.

Onyx knows how to sit, loves his shelter roommates, people, and takes treats like the perfect gentleman. His coat speaks for itself and it is amazing. This breed is the state dog for Louisiana and is so unique. He has swirls of black, grey, white and loves belly rubs. Onyx is very sweet and wants to relax after a walk in this Tennessee summer heat.

His photos don’t do him justice so come into the Campbell County Animal Shelter and meet this Adonis in person.

The adoption center, animal shelter, is open Tuesday – Saturday, noon – 5:30pm, at 749 Towe String Road, Jacksboro, next to the convenience center. The center’s telephone number is 423-566-8018.

You can view all of the adoptable pets on Petfinder. Adoption applications can also be completed online. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/22/2024-6AM)
