Upwards of 70 animals, in an emergency intake, have been added to the already crowded shelter
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Effective immediately, the Campbell County Animal Shelter is not accepting any intakes due to a high volume emergency intake. The shelter now has an additional 40 dogs and more than 20 cats at the facility on Towe String Road.
Due to this high number of intakes, the shelter desperately needs blankets, sheets, and towels. These don’t need to be new.
Dog and cat food, wet or dry, cat litter, Dawn dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent are greatly needed. The shelter needs volunteers over the weekend, because this situation is at least doubling the staff’s work load.
Monetary donations can be made on the center’s website.
Donations can be dropped off at the Campbell County Animal Shelter at 749 Towe String Road, on the hill beside the convenience center. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/19/2024-10AM)
