State Representative Dennis Powers led the ceremony

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – On a very hot Saturday at noon, about 55 people gathered to pray for Tennessee and America while trying to find a shaded area.  

Rev. Patrick Arbo of First Baptist Church of Jacksboro led a devotion for our country.  

State Representative Dennis Powers led the ceremony, and he was joined by Representative Monte Fritts who read House Joint Resolution 803. The resolution calls for July to be a month of prayer and fasting for our state and country.  State Senator Ken Yager led a prayer for our state and Rev. Patrick Arbo of First Baptist Church of Jacksboro led a devotion for our country.

Patriotic music was led by Alice Wolfe and the opening prayer was led by Chaplain J. T. Asbury with the Campbell County Honor Guard.
