JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)-Campbell County commissioners voted on Monday to provide $9,000 of funding for the Campbell County Senior Center. It was noted as a “one-time” contribution.

Commissioner Beverly Hall had brought the issue up during last week’s budget and finance committee meeting that the “senior center is in dire need; They need $9,000,” said Hall.

According to Hall, the Senior Center’s van is broken down, among other financial needs.

“This came out of the June 10 budget and finance committee meeting to meet non-reoccurring needs,” clarified Commission Chair Johnny Bruce said.

The motion was unanimously approved for $9,000 for a one-time financial contribution. “That’s very well deserved on that,” said Commissioner Scott Kitts.
