JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF) – Multiple items recommended by the Campbell County Recreation Committee were approved by county commissioners on Monday evening.
These included a health inspection at Lonas Young Park, as well as to “set the campground rental rate at a flat rate of $40 with the allowance of two non-stackable 10 percent discounts for county citizens and veterans.â€
Additional recreation committee items approved were “to have items around the Lonas Young storage shed removed.â€
Commissioners approved to seek quotes for fill dirt for the soccer field, as well as for commercial lawn mower services for the park.
Quotes will also be sought for a building for the RV park and to refurbish the tennis courts and pickle ball court.
A motion to track the expenditures and revenues separately at Lonas Young Park passed as well.
Final business approved for the Lonas Young RV Park was to allow purchase orders for the RV park to be signed by the county mayor or the deputy mayor if park director Jay Muncy is unavailable. 5
A recreation meeting was also set for Thursday evening at 5 pm at the county courthouse.
