One driver was driving on a revoked driver’s license, revoked since 2017
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A recent two vehicle accident ended with an arrest when the driver of one of the vehicles was operating on a revoked driver’s license for the last seven years, according to LaFollette Police.
On Monday, May 20, LaFollette Police Officer Michael Satkowski was dispatched to 1848 Jacksboro Pike, across from the high school, where he found Shala Denise Sanchez had rear ended another vehicle.
When Officer Satkowski asked Sanchez for her insurance, vehicle registration and driver’s license she stated that she did not have insurance on her vehicle. She continued that she only had a Tennessee Identification Card and was unsure if her license was suspended or revoked. Upon checking her driver status, it was discovered that her license had been revoked since 2017, according to a report from the LaFollette Police Department.
