LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) -It’s a big week for La Follette Owls. Further in this story is the schedule for reunion weekend. The La Follette High School Class of 1966 will meet for its reunion on Saturday, June 1.

The Class of ’66 will meet from 2pm-4pm at the Fincastle Church fellowship building at 629 Old Middlesboro Highway. Call Katheryn Angel at 562-9680 for more information.

It’s a “Best of Times” reunion year for La Follette High School graduates.  Best of Times VI is set for the last weekend of May, first weekend of June, May 31-June 2.  That’s a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Registration time is Friday, May 31, from 10am to 4pm, at La Follette City Hall.

Friday night, May 31, events will be at The Stables on 295 Fincastle Road from 5pm until 9:30pm.      

Saturday morning, June 1, events take place at the La Follette Church of God, across the road from Campbell High.  The hours are 9am to 11am.

Saturday, June 1, the individual class time is from 11:30am until 4pm.

Saturday evening, June 1, events are set for The Stables between 5pm and 9pm.  The Tams and The Drifters provide the evening’s entertainment.

Sunday morning, June 2, from 8am until 10:30am, is when the worship service takes place at the La Follette Methodist Church.

LHS Alums are reminded that dues to help cover costs are $10 a year.  Dues are payable on registration day.  Cash or check only is accepted.  However, no credit cards are able to be accepted.  Donations are also being accepted to cover the Saturday night entertainment.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/27/2024-6AM)
