LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Fresh gourmet coffee, organic smoothies, healthy brunches, donuts, muffins, cookies and more await you at Minnie’s, the new coffee shop in LaFollette.

Whether you’re in the mood for something hot or cold, something sweet or savory, Minnie’s Coffee, Smoothies and Brunches has got you covered. There is a full selection of hot and cold coffees and hot and cold teas, as well as organic smoothies and a wide selection of brunch menu items to choose from.

She has a variety of Smartfruit Smoothies and plenty of lunch options on the menu.

The coffee shop is owned by Minnie Patel and opened in early March. She has completed renovations on Dr. Gerald Troutman’s former dental building to create a “welcoming atmosphere” for her customers.

With too many treats to choose from, Minnie’s has something for everyone.

According to Patel, it was a dream and passion of hers to live in a small town surrounded by mountains and to have her coffee shop.

Minnie’s also has an arcade room for the kids to play in, or the adults!

“I love the people here; everyone in LaFollette has been very helpful and I enjoy being part of the community,” Patel said, thanking everyone for their support of her business so far.

The coffee shop also offers a 10-percent discount to seniors, government employees and students.

Minnie has even installed a small arcade area with retro games like Pack Man and more for the kids to play in.

Minnie’s is located at 108 E. Beech St. in the former Troutman Dental Office, across from the LaFollette Police and Fire Station. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am to 6:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 7:30 pm.
