‘Extra caution is needed with the increased traffic’- Jacksboro Police Chief Daniel Smith

JACKSBORO-CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Beginning Monday and lasting through, at least, the end of July, traffic is down to one lane in each direction on the four lane around Cove Lake.

Repairs are being made to the decks of the four bridges that span Cove Lake, and traffic back ups and use of alternate routes are expected.

“We’re going to be watching traffic on the four lane and Bruce Gap Road and Old Hwy 63 especially during the morning and afternoon/evening hours,” said Caryville Chief of Police Freddie Stagnolia.

Chief Stagnolia points out that youngsters are waiting for buses, and there are folks walking Bruce Gap and Butter & Egg Roads meaning extra care is needed for all concerned. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/14/2024-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
