Expect delays-traffic down to one lane in each direction at the Cove Lake bridges on the four lane

Repairs on all four bridges that span Cove Lake begin on the top decks on Monday morning.
CARYVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The contractor, Jones Brothers Contractors, for the bridge repair project on SR-9 /Hwy 25W-63 over Cove Lake at Caryville has progressed with substructure work under the bridges, and, with weather permitting, plans to begin Super Structure work on top of the bridges on Mon., May 13.
This work will require lane closures and traffic to be merged into one lane in each direction so the contractor can make the necessary repairs. The contractor is scheduled to work continuously until the repairs are completed and all lanes are back open.
This job was awarded to Jones Bros. Contractors, LLC, for $3,583,751.25, and it includes bridges at log miles 31.35 and 31.79, according to Mark Nagi, TDOT Regional Communications Officer for Region 1.
