Davis Creek fires spotted 4:30pm Sun. As of 11:39pm Sun., 60 acres had burned, 20% contained.

DUFF, TN (WLAF) – “We’ve got four wildfires fires going on at the same time up here on Davis Creek,” said White Oak Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jimmy Pack. Pack is the fulltime chief at La Follette and has been the WOVFD Chief since 1991.

The call of brush fires on Davis Creek came in after 4pm Sunday.

Units and firefighters from the White Oak Department and the state forestry service responded Sunday afternoon after the fire call went out at 4:30.

Three bulldozers and an ATV from the forestry service were put into service along with a couple of units with the WOVFD.
