JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Three days. Three times. A pair of men in a ragged black Ford Focus have knocked on the doors of several homes in the Weir Woods neighborhood this week posing as representatives from AT&T. They are very pushy and pressuring, very harassing, according to one neighbor.

The car does not have a back bumper, and its Nevada license plate is taped in the back window. The front bumper bears a Nevada plate.

“I’ve made two reports with the sheriff’s office, and a deputy talked to these men the other day,” said a woman who wishes to remain anonymous. They had the nerve to come back through the neighborhood again yesterday afternoon, she added.

The woman said these men don’t have any AT&T identification. “I called AT&T, and they told me that they do not go door-to-door,” said the woman.

“This is not legitimate and is pretty alarming,” she said. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/05/2024-1:30PM)
