Pedestrian struck by car in Jacksboro

JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- A man was transported to the hospital late Thursday afternoon after being hit by a car.

Around 3:15pm, a man was crossing the highway near Zaxby’s in Jacksboro when a car pulled through the intersection, according to Jacksboro Police Chief Daniel Smith.

It appears the man allegedly stepped in front of the oncoming vehicle.

“He was transported to the University of Tennessee Hospital by ambulance,” Smith said.
