Sheriff’s deputies record most arrests in a month in the Barton era
JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Sheriff Wayne Barton and his staff share their monthly activity report from around Campbell County. This morning, the sheriff is providing a summary of the month of November activity.
The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office during Barton’s time as sheriff since September 2022 has averaged 38 arrests a month. The low month was September 2024 of 14 and the most arrests in a month of 72 came in November 2024.
“I would like to thank our deputies for providing excellent service across all parts of Campbell County. The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is working hard to protect and serve our community,” said Barton.
During the month of November 2024:
Miles patrolled 39,652 (Oct. 47,938)
Calls for Service 767 (Oct. 1,011)
Civil Process 232 (Oct. 184)
Assisted Motorist 68 (Oct. 82)
Property Checks 1,732 (Oct. 2,397)
Arrests 72 (Oct. 29)
Citations 45 (Oct. 24)
Incident Reports 41 (Oct. 59)
Crash Reports 17 (Oct. 16)
Funeral Escorts 24 (Oct. 47)
There were 303 (Oct. 275) bags of litter picked up across 29 miles of Campbell County roads.
