Wlaf1450Semi-final game tips off Thu. at 7:30pm, Lady Cougars and Central
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell Cougars could not maintain their hot start behind Will Croley’s 21 first half points and fell to West 75-64 in the quarterfinal round of the District 3-AAAA Tournament being played at Halls. It was a career night for Croley as he tallied 38 points that included eight three-pointers. Jake Hatmaker added 18 while Jack Sexton had six points with two from Caden Heatherly. The Cougars end the season at 5 & 21.
Tonight at 7:30, the Lady Cougars play the Central Lady Bobcats in the semi-finals. Both teams split during the regular season, and each team has qualified to play in the Region 2 Tournament next week. However, the winner of tonight’s game will host in their first round Region game.
“We are excited for another opportunity to represent Campbell County. Thursday’s game should be a good one. Central has been playing really well since the return of one of their best players, and we will have one back as well in Addy Coleman. Both of us want a chance to play for a district championship. So there is a lot at stake plus with a win, we will get to play a region game at home on Friday, the 27th,” said Lady Cougar Head Coach Jason Kitts.
