LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Yoga with Hasu is celebrating 10 years in business this month! Owner and Certified Yoga Instructor Hasu Douglas has a new studio location in the Food City Shopping Complex at Woodson’s Mall, and she invites you to come check out one of her many classes. Douglas offers classes for “all levels” from beginners to advanced. She has 11 classes total, including a senior’s class, men’s class, group classes, private classes, yoga for couples, yoga for kids and more!  As Hasu likes to say, “Yoga is for everyone.”

“My oldest client is 88 years old and my youngest is two-years old and comes with his mother,” Hasu said.

Many of her clients are seniors. According to Hasu, yoga is great to improve balance and posture for people of all ages, but especially seniors.

“I have so many testimonies from my clients about how much yoga helps with balance. As we all grow older, posture problems develop and yoga helps with that,” Hasu said.

Hasu Douglas is a certified yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance. She has 500 hours of certified training. She offers both group classes, private classes, men’s classes, senior’s class, a class for kids and much more.

HERE is the schedule for classes.

According to Hasu, “anyone can give yoga a try. You don’t need to be super flexible or experienced. You don’t have to be a certain age or at a certain fitness level. You don’t have to be anything other than what you are.”

Douglas has the maximum 500 hours of Yoga training and is certified as an instructor through Yoga Alliance. She has the training and over a decade of teaching experience to ensure you learn the correct postures to prevent injury and to maximize the benefits of yoga.

Yoga with Hasu has a new location in the Food City Shopping Complex at Woodson’s Mall on the Jacksboro side across from the Backdoor Cafe. Check her out on Facebook for scheduling, classes, specials and more.

Yoga has many benefits including “relaxation, mobility, and balance and can lessen chronic pain: lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, and carpal tunnel syndrome.”

Yoga has been a part of her life for over a decade and her practice has helped her “grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat.”

“I am passionate about practicing yoga and its benefits. Through my own years of practice and education I believe yoga can be for everyone, whether you are looking to gain flexibility, improve your fitness or challenge yourself physically and mentally,” Hasu said.

She also said she wants to thank all of her clients that have supported her yoga business throughout the years and that she looks forward to serving the citizens of Campbell County.

“I’m excited to be at my new location; my goal is to continue to grow my business and I would not be here without all the clients that have supported me. I have clients that have been with me since the beginning when I started teaching in 2014. I love Campbell County; this is home to me. When I saw the mountains behind Cove Lake, I knew it was home to me.”
