Mrs. Susan Elaine Gheen age 74 of Maryville, TN passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024.  She was a long time and devoted member of Order of Eastern Star #358 (Mountain View Lodge) in Blount County, and a member of Knoxville Area Corvair Club.  Susan was formerly employed with Coulter Florist and Greenhouses, Blount Memorial Hospital, and was a Co-Owner of D & S Garbage Service.  Preceded in death by Husband, Bryan Gheen, and Father, George Heatherly.  

Survivors: Son, Richard T. Payne (Robin Keylon); Daughter, Jeanette Payne (Paula Payne); Granddaughters, Danielle Smith (Byron), Bethany Hilty (Tommy), and Kaitlyn Banks (Austin); 9 Great-Grandchildren; Mother, Mrs. Clarice Heatherly; Sister, Georgia Simione (Ed); Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Family and friends will meet on Saturday, March 16, 2024, 1:30 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home (509 E. Central Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766) and proceed to Walters Cemetery (691 Pleasant Ridge Road, LaFollette, TN 37766) for a 2:00 P.M. Graveside Services with Rev. Michael Foust officiating.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Blount County Humane Society, 1005 E.
