Wlaf1450Shirley Imogene Vitatoe, age 88 of Caryville, departed this life on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born August 8, 1935, to the late Jake Silcox and Pearl Byrd Silcox. Imogene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed quilting and going to the beach with her sisters when she was able.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Herman Vitatoe; son Gary Vitatoe; brothers Henry, Estel, Boyce Silcox; sister Stella Silcox
Imogene is survived by her daughters Mary “Joan” Evans of Maynardville and Becky Blankenship of Caryville; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, 305 E. Beech Street LaFollette, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow funeral service at Campbell Memorial Gardens.

She will be missed.. She has been more like a mother to me than a cousin. Sure will her calls.. Praying for her family
