Barbara Ann (Lowe) Cross, age 81 of Knoxville passed away February 11th, 2024, at her home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was saved at a young age at Nicks Creek Baptist Church. She spent many years working at Alpha Industry and Sports Belle until she retired to start keeping her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered as having the kindest, most selfless heart. Her love for her family and friends was never-ending. She loved doing puzzles, word searches, looking at recipe books, and looking out the window to watch the squirrels and birds visit their homes. She is preceded in death by parents, Jacob & Juanita Lowe; brothers, Jeff & Lawrence Lowe; father and mother-in-law, Bob & Nellie Cross; and loving husband, Laymond Cross.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy, and husband Danny Long; her 3 grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Dalton, Hunter, & Madison; special sister-in-law & niece, Evelyn & Janet; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends that were dear to her heart.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 14th from 5-7 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home in LaFollette with the service to follow with Pastor, Mark Acres officiating. Pallbearers: Danny Long, Dalton Long, Hunter Long, Madison Long, Edward Lowe, and Alex Sosville. Family and friends will meet at 10 AM Thursday, February 15th, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 11 AM Graveside service.
