Mildred Bolton age 89 of LaFollette, went home to be with her Lord on February 8, 2024, surrounded by the ones she loved.  She was born on February 10, 1934, to the late Frank Lay and Edna (Wright) Lay. Mildred was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking, going to flea markets, reading the bible, vowel books, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband’s Elmer Harding Sr. and John L. Bolton; sons Scottie Harding, Dennis Harding and Junior Harding.; daughter Dinah Faye Richardson; brothers Luther Lay, Esaw Lay, and Ovie Lay; and her sisters Christine Lay and Lucy Lay; grandchildren Kristen Ballenger, Matt Harding, and Josh Harding.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Teresa Ann Brock of Jacksboro; sister Sylvania Sexton of Jacksboro; 7 grandchildren; host of great-grandchildren; a host of great great-grandchildren; special great granddaughter Katelyn; daughter-in-law Kathy Harding; special friends Linda McNeal and Gail Rice; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses of Amedisys Hospice for their passion and care that they showed during Mildreds time of need.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday February 12, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, 305 E. Beech Street LaFollette, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Kenny Allen officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, to go in funeral procession to Allred Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.
