JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – On the heels of a year of unprecedented drug overdoses at the Campbell County Jail, the first overdose of 2024 occurred Tuesday morning.

Campbell County EMS was paged to the jail at 10:12 am today. The call said a female overdosed and was administered one dose of NARCAN. However, the inmate was still unresponsive, according to officials. She has been transported to the Tennova LaFollette emergency room, according to officials.
