LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- LaFollette Elementary School hosted its first spelling bee. Third grade teacher Kaitlyn Kapple was inspired to host a spelling bee to help promote literacy by giving the students a positive goal to work toward.
The students worked their way to eighth grade words before a winner was declared.
The winners were: First place- Gabriel Hargis; Second place Jazmine Fultz and Third place – Annabelle Tinch.
The teachers that judged the contest were Angie Musick, Katelyn Kapple, Jessica Housley and Carrie Orick.
