LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – This afternoon marks the final chapter in a story we’ve all known for sometime now, and that is POHO’s Ice Cream stand is no longer going to be a fixture along the four lane in La Follette.

It was started around 30 years ago by Polly and Howard Vanover, which is how the business got it’s name; Po for Polly and Ho for Howard.  WLAF’s Charlotte Underwood shares her 2020 story of POHO’s.

From all of us here at WLAF, we say “thank you” and “so long.”

“The last ride of a Campbell County tradition,” said WLAF friend Bill Stanley as he captured this parting shot as POHO’s left town on Wednesday afternoon. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/29/2023-2PM)
