LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Well, the sign tells the story. Once again a traffic pattern change, this time from Deroyal to near the Frontier Store on the west bound lane. West bound travelers will be riding the new pavement as the east bound surface remains the same. You may want to give yourself some extra time, due to the Lafollette Elementary School Zone, because there’s still no east bound turn lane. This causes traffic to back up toward the post office.

On Thursday morning, many west bound motorists were 20 to 30 minutes late for work or dropping off the kids for school. It was reported that at one time traffic headed toward Lafollette was backed up to the traffic light at Big O’s.

East bound folks may want to pay close attention to the side roads where many people coming on to Hwy 63-Stiner Hwy may have your travel path blocked trying to get over to the west bound lane. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/20/2023-6AM)
