Kimberly Diane Koontz, age 50, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 30, 2023.  Born in Oneida, Tenn., she was the daughter of Dennis Ray Richardson and the late Charlotte Adkins Richardson.  She was a member of Jakes Branch Baptist Church.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and ATV’s, crafts, quilting, cross stitching, but most of all being a mom and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Steven Allen Koontz; daughters, Keneshia Cordell of Lugoff and her father, Keith Cordell of Lafollette, Tenn., and Charlotte Koontz of Lugoff; special daughter, LaToshia Carroll (Brandon) of Jacksboro, Tenn.; sister, Darlene Carroll (Benny) of Jacksboro, Tenn.; brother, Jason Richardson (Carol) of Huntsville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Caden Davis and Carter Davis; and many other special nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Jake’s Branch Baptist Church in Pioneer on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 12-3pm with a Celebration of Life at 7pm. Her burial will be on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 12 noon at Cate Cemetery in Kodak.
