Mr. Harry “Verlin” Bostic, age 90, of LaFollette passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023.   He was a member for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran.  He was a kind and gentle man, who loved Kentucky Basketball and the Atlanta Braves.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Heatherly Bostic, parents, W.R. (Ted) and Nannie Bostic, brother, Bill Bostic, and sisters, Euretha Miniard and Juanita Freeman.

Survived by Children, William “Scott” and wife, Inge Bostic, Sherry and husband, Paul Chapman, and Stacey Bostic and husband, Michael Stearns.  Grandchildren:  Joanie and husband, Tommie Arnold, Mandy and husband, Jimmy Dorrough, Kelcey Bostic, Megan and husband, Tyler Green, Kristin Miller and husband, Greg.  Great-Grandchildren:  Kaytlyn Wade, Abbie and husband, Tanner Hambrick, Brandon and Tucker Dorrough, Emma Comer, Emmette Green, Ariel, Emrie, and Avery Miller.  Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, 12:00 P.M. at Powell Valley Cemetery.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Harry “Verlin” Bostic.

  1. Verlin was one of the best supervisors I ever had. He was fair and hard working. It is a honor to say that I knew him. May God comfort the family.
