JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – An old coach once said “it’s not an off week, it’s a bye week.” This week is a bye week but certainly not an off week for the Campbell Cougars aside from the fact that they don’t have a game tonight.

“We took a different approach this year for this bye week,” said Campbell Head Coach Justin Price. Campbell had a JV game on Monday. Cougar Quarterback Landen Hensley and some of the starting skill players threw on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the 12th year head coach. “Other than that, we didn’t do anything else, and everyone else had the week off,” said Price.

Campbell returns to action on Friday night, October 21, at Sevierville against the Sevier County Smoky Bears in a 7pm non-region game. The Bears are 6 & 1 with a 2 & 1 region mark. The only loss was 49-0 to top ranked West at Knoxville. The only common opponent is Heritage, and Sevier plays the Mountaineers at Maryville tonight. The Cougars are 4 & 4 in all games and 2 & 2 in the region.
