LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A woman who refused to leave a La Follette home ended up being removed by officers with the La Follette Police Department. On top of that, she was arrested on outstanding warrants and several drug charges.

When officers arrived on Friday afternoon to a home on West Elm Street and removed Christy Lynn Wilson, they discovered that Wilson was a wanted woman. It was verified that there were two active warrants for Wilson’s arrest, one from General Sessions Court and the other from criminal court, based on records at the Campbell County Jail.

Wilson, 41, of 1117 South Highway 25W, La Follette, gave consent for a search, and that’s when illegal drugs were found. La Follette Police Lt. Matthew Forsyth explains that schedule I, II, IV and V controlled substances were found, heroin, Oxycodone, Clozapine and Gabapentin. Wilson was charged with possession of the controlled substances and felony drug paraphernalia.

This was the 15th arrest for Wilson based on jail records. Wilson remains housed this morning in the Campbell County Jail without bond. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/10/2022-11AM)
