LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Summer Reading 2022 is just around the corner at the LaFollette Public Library. The series kicks off with a person everyone loves to see and here, puppeteer, ventriloquist and magician, Gene Cordova. Ranger Mark from Cove Lake State Park as well as La Follette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack will be featured guests this June. Pack will also bring along firefighters and a fire engine. A picnic and fun at the Splash Park are also on the schedule.

Gene Cordova kicks off the summer reading program on Friday, June 3, at the La Follette Public Library.

Here’s the summer schedule:

Friday, June 3 – 10 a.m. – Gene Cordova, puppeteer, ventriloquist, magician. Related story.

Wednesday, June 8 – 10 a.m. – Ranger Mark from Cove Lake State Park will be here telling us all about the services offered at the park, and he will bring some of his favorite park animals!

Wednesday, June 15 – 10 a.m. – Jimmy Pack, Fire Chief with the LaFollette Fire Department, will bring a fire engine for everyone to enjoy.

Wednesday, June 22 – 10 a.m. – Awards and certificates, followed by a picnic at the Splash Park!
