LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Heat index values in excess of 100 will be common again today and Friday around Campbell County and in valley areas.

Heat index values will approach or exceed 105 degrees across much of the central and southern valley areas this afternoon and evening. In addition, there is potential for a few strong to severe storms this afternoon into early tonight, with damaging winds and hail up to 1 inch in diameter being the primary threats.
