JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The idea of holding church in a barn might be a throwback to another era. However, Pastor David Hicks revived the concept a few years back and is ready to host his annual event, a barn meeting, tonight through Saturday morning.

Hicks barn is not quite the type barn that perhaps comes to mind when most people think of a barn. There won’t be any sitting on bales of hay on a dirt floor or having to watch your step around the barnyard. The venue is quite pristine for a better word with folding chairs and an actual floor.

Services are tonight, Thursday and Friday at 7pm with a prayer meeting Saturday at 9am. Hicks will deliver messages along with headline preacher Brother Steve Rinehart from Mt. Sheba Baptist Church in North Carolina along with several other guest speakers.

“The reason we’re holding our barn meeting this early in the year is because we’re planning on having two. I’d like to have another one in the fall,” said Hicks. The barn is located near the National Guard Armory. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/11/2022-6AM)
