The first year coach’s team visits Farragut tonight in a 7pm Region 2-AAAA quarterfinal match up. Watch the game televised live over the WLAF – Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center video player. Campbell represents District 3. Farragut is out of District 4. There was a time the two schools were in the same district.
Farragut is 23 & 7 with three of its losses coming to District 4 foe Bearden. The Lady Admirals finished second to Bearden with an 8 & 2 mark in the regular season district race.
“Farragut is a good team. They play in a really tough district, and we have to be ready to play,” said Coach Kitts. The coach adds that we must limit our mistakes and take advantage of Farragut’s mistakes. “We’ve practiced well this week, and I think our girls are ready to play,” added Kitts.
Campbell is 19 & 10 and finished third in the district regular season round robin at 6 & 4 and third in the district tournament. The Lady Cougars lost all four of their district games to Oak Ridge and Powell.
Since school is out on Friday, the Lady Cougars game day routine changed. “We’ll have a shoot-a-round at 2pm, pack our uniforms and watch some game film. We’ll arrive at Farragut by 5:45pm,” said Coach Kitts.
