NEWCOMB, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – A Campbell County senior citizen remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning on multiple drug charges. Sixty-seven year old Floyd Marlow was arrested Valentine’s Day morning at his mobile home that sits along Highway 297.

“From Jacksboro to Jellico and Newcomb to LaFollette, we will not stop until our county is free of drug dealers,” said Sheriff Robbie Goins.

On Monday morning, Campbell County Sheriff’s Detectives, the Narcotics Unit and SWAT team executed a search warrant at 2557 Highway 297 in Newcomb, Marlow’s home. Inside the mobile home, investigators found multiple containers of a substance believed to be heroin. A pill bottle with other narcotics, various baggies likely prepared to distribute narcotics, and scales used to weigh narcotics were all allegedly found in Marlow’s home. Marlow was also in possession of a revolver, the report said.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Detectives, the Narcotics Unit and SWAT team executed a search warrant at 2557 Highway 297 in Newcomb, the home of Floyd Marlow.

During the course of the search, Marlow allegedly admitted to selling heroin multiple times, and he allegedly bragged about how the profit margin on heroin was double the price he originally paid for the heroin. He said he needed the firearm for protection, according to the report from the sheriff’s office.

Marlow was arrested. He was charged with the sale of a controlled substance, possession of a schedule V controlled substance, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing a firearm during commission of a felony.

Marlow’s bond is set at $100,000, and he is due in court on Tuesday.

“Every dealer in town should go to sleep each night wondering if we will bust them the next morning, because we are coming for every single criminal who continues to hurt our community,” said Goins. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/18/2022-6AM)
