JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Big wins are in the books after Campbell County whipped West on Brown Court on Thursday night. The Lady Cougars victory locked down third place in District 3-AAAA while the Cougars triumph keeps them on track to claim second place in the district if they win the final league game. Senior Cora Browning, a Milligan signee, was tops in the girls game last night with 19 points followed by nine from Lacey Pemberton. Emma Brandenburg, Bailey Gillum and Karlie Whited scored eight points each while Bella Lester scored four and Saylor Hutcheson had three. Campbell posted 10 threes on the night in the 59-36 win. The Lady Cougars are 5 & 4 in the district and 14 & 7 in all games.
Spencer Boshears led the way for the Cougars as the senior tallied 19 points. Zac Brady and Devin Jones each poured through 17 points. Ten points each came from John Long and Nate Walden. David Adkins knocked down three points. Campbell won 76 to 64 improving to 11 & 10 overall and 5 & 4 in district games.
