LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Sherman Spivey is the featured artist for the Postmark LaFollette Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op and WLAF. He is a landscape painter and works mostly in acrylics.

Sherman Spivey says that he has always enjoyed art and that he used to watch famous artist Bob Ross. He says watching Ross made him want to do his own version.

He describes his paintings as “abstract scenery.” Spivey has no depth perception so paints as he sees, in flat two dimensions, and has been painting for the last three years. He says that he has always enjoyed art and that he used to watch famous artist Bob Ross. He says watching Ross made him want to do his own version. At age 59, he mainly paints to relax.

Spivey’s creations are on display at Postmark LaFollette’s Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op.
