LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A La Follette woman escaped injury in a Monday evening wreck on Demory Road. However, as a result, traffic was stopped for the better part of an hour in the 2000 block.

In the preliminary description crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, it says 58-year- old Anita Marshall was southbound in a 2006 Ford F-250 when she became distracted by holding food while she was driving. Marshall’s pick-up truck left the road on the right side and entered a private lawn striking shrubbery, building materials and a mailbox. The truck continued into the home’s driveway where it struck a parked car before hitting a utility pole coming to a rest partially back in the road.

Marshall was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, according to the THP report. She faces a charge of failure to exercise due care. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/17/2021-6AM)
