LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A possible theft sent Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Fox looking a small black car last Saturday. Fox answered a call on Sharp’s Cemetery Lane, LaFollette where it was alleged that a female had taken a small tent, foam mattress and miscellaneous tools that he (the victim) could not identify.

The victim told Fox that he had invited Summer Nicole King to his home and when she left for work the next morning, she had taken the items and was driving a small black car, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

Fox began to patrol the area around Logan’s Car Wash and noticed a car there matching the description he had been given. The deputy stopped and spoke with King who stated that she did have the victim’s property, but it was not stolen. She pulled out the property and placed it behind the car. Fox then asked if there was anything else in the vehicle and King handed Fox a green cigarette carton containing two smoked buds of a leafy green substance believed to be Marijuana. Through a search of the car Fox found a small pink bag containing a crystal like substance thought to be methamphetamine inside of a small yellow wallet inside King’s purse. The deputy also allegedly found a needle and syringe inside a small black bag inside King’s purse.

King, 267 Lake Lane, Caryville was charged with theft of property under $999.99, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/05/2021-6AM)
