The replacement of a water main and other emergency repairs will be made to the bridge on Towe String Road at the former Key Limestone operation, now Rogers Group.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – One of Campbell County’s busiest roads is temporarily closing. Emergency bridge repair is forcing the closure of a section of Towe String Road next week.

The closure is from Memorial Drive to River Road. Local traffic will have access. Anyone heading from the four lane to the convenience center, church, Jacksboro Metals or Indian River Marina “needs to use the River Road side of Towe String” according to Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck.

Traffic will need to use each end of Towe String Road, River Road and the four lane, to gain access during the closure.

The partial closure runs from Fri., March 12, at noon through Mon., March 15, at noon.

This stretch of Towe String Road is heavily traveled.

The Campbell County Highway Department, Twin K Construction and LUB will be working around the clock to repair the bridge located near the Rogers Group asphalt plant. A water main is being relocated.

The closure includes part of four days.

Detour signs will be posted. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/03/2021-6AM)
