JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – There’s still more to do before Campbell High’s new SPORTURF field is ready for play. More grade work, drainage and several other things are needed before the new turf goes down. However, lots and lots of work have already been completed.

Crews have wasted little time working to put Campbell’s new SPORTURF (below) in place.

The last Cougar game was played on the October 30 (a 44-13 loss to West), and work began on November 9. The very first game was played on the natural service on Sept. 5, 1975; 45-years ago. It was a 20-0 loss to Jefferson County. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/24/2020-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
