CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Crossing the fog line twice drew attention from a Caryville Police Officer for Eric Longmire.    CPD Officer Daniel Garrett saw Longmire cross the fog line on eastbound US 25W near the Elkins Road intersection and then again at Dog Creek Lane.  That prompted the officer to pull Longmire over.  Garrett smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Longmire’s 2008 Chevy Malibu and asked him to step out of the car for a field sobriety test according to the report.  Officer Garrett detailed in his report that Longmire’s speech was slurred and his eyes were blood shot.  Garrett noted that Longmire performed poorly on the field sobriety test and was arrested and charged with DUI.
