LaFollette Police Narcotics Detective Noah Riggs makes the arrest
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Narcotics Detective Noah Riggs with the LaFollette Police Department recently saw Joseph Lee Odell traveling eastbound on Jacksboro Pike driving a 2004 Black Chevrolet Trailblazer. Officer Riggs had prior knowledge that Odell was wanted for arrest by the United States District Court.
It was around 4pm on Wed., June 18, when Narcotics Detective Riggs stopped the vehicle at the old IGA supermarket parking lot and placed Odell under arrest according to a report from the LaFollette Police Department. Also in the vehicle, in the front passenger seat, was Rebecca Ann Chiarini.
Odell gave Riggs permission to search the vehicle. Riggs was joined by backup officer Jami Wadle who found a small backpack on the passenger side floorboard. In the zipper pocket was a heart shaped container with a small, tied corner baggie with a crystal like substance inside. In the same pocket was prescription medication with Chiarini’s name on it. A glass pipe with white powder residue was found in the passenger side floorboard.
Odell, 46, 516 West 1st Street, LaFollette was charged with hold for another agency.
Chiarini, 38, LaFollette was charged with schedule II (Meth) facilitation of manufacture/sell/delivery (less than ½ gram) and possession of drug paraphernalia. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/30/2025-6AM)
