La Follette Rescue Squad providing lifesaving services for 66 years
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Since the 1950s, the La Follette Volunteer Rescue Squad has been there for the community with lifesaving services from vehicle extractions to water rescue to rope rescue to searches for missing people and more. And now, with the squad’s annual fund drive going on, the community can be there for the squad.
The LRS provides all of these rescue (and recovery) services at no charge to all citizens who live in or visit Campbell County. The organization operates solely on donations. During its annual fund drive, the squad is asking for a $25 donation so it can continue providing rescue services.
Your donation is used to pay for all operational costs including utilities, repairs, maintenance, equipment replacement, adding new equipment and training.
The La Follette Rescue Squad thanks everyone in advance for their donation. Please make your donation payable to the La Follette Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 282, La Follette, Tennessee 37766.
Officials with the squad note that they will not call you on the phone or go door-to-door seeking donations, and they thank you for the last 66 years of support. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/12/2025-6AM)
