LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A speeding vehicle nets three arrests. Last Thursday, La Follette Police Det. Noah Riggs paced a Toyota Tacoma traveling northbound on South Cumberland Ave. at 40 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Riggs stopped the vehicle at Legends Hometown Grill at the intersection of E. Kentucky Ave. and S. Cumberland Ave. Det. Jami Wadle made contact with the driver, Haley Dallas Wallace, who had her hands near her private area inside her shorts.
After getting permission to search the vehicle, Det. Riggs recovered a baggie in the driver’s side door with a small amount of crystal like substance in the baggie that tested positive for Methamphetamine. Also found in the door was a 1CC syringe. In the center console was a red rope made into a tourniquet.
Wallace was placed under arrest when she told Det. Wadle that she had something on her person and removed two 1CC syringes from her private area. Wallace had her juvenile son in the back seat of the vehicle but was released to another individual who stated he would be going back to her residence, according to a report from the LaFollette Police Department.
A Department of Children Services referral was made for the juvenile. Wallace was given a verbal warning for speeding.
During the traffic stop, Det. Riggs made contact with Riley Blayze Hatfield and Nathaniel Keith Leach. Hatfield had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through Campbell County. Leach had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through Campbell County and three outstanding warrants from Anderson County. While Det. Riggs was patting Leach down, he told him that he had two 1CC syringes in his pocket, also in the front pocket was a clear baggie with a metal spoon and burn marks on the spoon and a white plastic container with two baggies with white powder residue in the baggies.
Wallace, 31, S Cumberland Ave., La Follette, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and schedule II possession.
Hatfield, 22, 704 S. 13th Street, La Follette, was charged with theft of property (service over $1,000).
Leach, 34, 942 Coolidge Rd, La Follette, was charged with failure to appear (felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/03/2025-6AM)
