Wilma Raye Money, age 86, of Caryville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. She was born February 22, 1939, in Richlands, North Carolina, where she spent her childhood.
Wilma was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy was her family, whom she loved deeply.
For 17 years, Wilma faithfully served in the church nursery at LaFollette Baptist Temple. She found great joy in caring for the little ones and supporting church families.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth (Taylor) Riggs; her father, Russell Riggs; and her husband of 54 years, Rev. Herman Money and her brother, Ronald Riggs.
She is survived by; her children, Chuck Money and Angie, Dennis Money and Alise, Robin Hunley and Mark, and Derek Money and Katie; her sisters, Carol Howard and Bobby, and Betty Riggs and Bud; sister-in-law, Vivian Riggs; and grandchildren Chris Money, Chad Money, Ryan Money, Eden Robinson, Raven Aiken, Corey Hunley, Macy Hunley and Matt. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Martin Wilson Funeral Home in LaFollette, TN, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastors Wayne Phillips and Steve Bruce officiating with the burial service to follow at Bakers Forge Memorial Cemetery.
Wilma will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her servant’s heart, and the love she poured into her family and all those blessed to know her.
