There are still some trouble spots on the secondary roads around Campbell County

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- “The snow amounts varied. We had two inches here and there, four inches out Pinecrest way, around five inches on the highest spots and even three to five inches in the valley,” said Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck.

County road crews basically worked around the clock calling it a weekend by dark Sunday night. “All of our employees have done a great job,” said Dilbeck.

There are still some trouble spots on the secondary roads, according to Dilbeck. “We’ll be back working several of the mountain areas first thing Monday; Ivydale, Walnut, Whistle Creek and Caryville mountians. Those areas are treacherous,” said Dilbeck.

“We’ve plowed and plowed and plowed and have laid down a lot of rock. We’ve done pretty well. Mother Nature brought us those two rounds of snow on Friday afternoon and Friday night, and then she really helped us with all the sunshine today (Sunday),” said Dilbeck.
