Angela Comer spotted during routine patrol
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- La Follette Police Officer Joe Hicks recently wrote drug related arrest warrants for Angela Comer, and the officer was able to serve those warrants during a weekend traffic stop.
It was Sunday afternoon when Officer Hicks happened to see Comer traveling Central Avenue in her Buick LeSabre. Close to 13th Street near the Corner Market on West Central Avenue is where Comer was pulled over by the patrolman.
Upon contact with Comer, Officer Hicks asked her if she was on probation, and Comer allegedly said yes and, when asked, explained she did not have anything illegal on her but she did have suboxone and some baggies, according to the report from LPD.
On the center console of the Buick, Officer Hicks saw a reflection from a Mountain Dew can. It ended up being a baggie containing a crystal-like substance, believed to be meth, floating in the can.
Comer, age 35 of 502 South 7th Street, La Follette, was charged with two counts of schedule II meth possession the manufacture-sell-deliver, possession of schedule III and drug paraphernalia, failure to provide proof of insurance, violation of the seat belt law and tampering with evidence.
A July 15 court date awaits Comer. Comer is free this morning on a $10,000 secure bond. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/09/2025-6AM)
