La Follette Police get their man after traffic stop
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Again La Follette Police spot a wanted person and make an arrest. In fact, LPD Narcotic Det. Noah Riggs has made multiple arrests after seeing wanted men and women traveling around La Follette.
Thursday afternoon was no exception when Riggs saw Sebastian Lowry riding in the front passenger seat of a 2005 white Chevrolet Cavalier. The detective had knowledge that Lowry had outstanding warrants for his arrest, and after verifying Lowry’s status with Dispatch, the officer conducted a traffic stop on the Chevy.
The traffic stop was on North 17th Street where Riggs placed Lowry under arrest and put Lowry in the backseat of his police cruiser.
After receiving permission from the female driver, Riggs searched the Cavalier and recovered a backpack from the passenger side floorboard. Inside the backpack, there was a multicolor set of digital scales with a crystal-like substance on the pad of the scale, according to the police report. It’s also stated in the report that there was a zip container with three round purple pills, believed to be a schedule II narcotic, inside it.
Riggs advised Lowry that he found pills and a scale in the backpack that was where Lowry was sitting. Lowry allegedly told police that the items belonged to him, based on the police report.
Lowry, 48, 213 North 25th Street-La Follette, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts), schedule II meth manufacture/sell/delivery, schedule II and III possession. Lowry remains housed this morning in the Campbell County Jail without bond awaiting a Criminal Court date of August 25. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-08/06/2025-6AM)
