CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A Campbell County man wanted by authorities in Scott County was arrested on additional charges.
Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Phillips was on routine patrol when he spotted a 1999 Dodge Durango without a visible license plate heading toward Caryville on the four lane. It was around 7pm, July 2 when the deputy stopped the SUV between the Queener Road turn off and the north Cove Lake bridge.
Phillips encountered 21-year-old Jordan Morrell behind the wheel. Based on the sheriff’s office report, Morrell told the deputy he had not registered the vehicle and did not have insurance on it. Central dispatch notified Phillips that Morrell’s license was revoked for failure to comply with the Tennessee Financial Responsibility Law. Morrell’s license has been revoked since December.
Morrell was arrested for driving while suspended, violation of the Tennessee financial law and registration law and a hold for another agency. He was released to Scott County officers, based on records at the Campbell County Jail. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/11/2022-6AM)
